Debra Newell is a successful interior designer. She meets John Meehan, a handsome man who seems to check all the boxes: attentive, available, just back from a year in Iraq with Doctors Without Borders. But her family doesn’t like John, and they get entangled in an increasingly complex web of love, deception, forgiveness, denial, and ultimately, survival. Reported and hosted by Christopher Goffard from the L.A. Times.

Boring podcast about boring people

Literally nothing happens. Literally. Nothing.

Mostly, it's just so obvious, every single thing is like, well duh...?

Woman meets loser who's nice to her but hated by everyone else

Woman finds out he's a manipulative psycho

Woman takes him back

Woman regrets taking him back

People fight.

Like, not a single anecdote that supports the narrative is worth listening to. It's like a bad story a dumb person in your class is telling you and you just smile and nod waiting for them to stop talking.

Good podcast, though I noticed a lot of repeated content in the first few episodes

This is not Serial

Interesting story but their obvious attempt to ride Serial’s coat tails is distracting. Also if you’re half paying attention they spoil the ending in the first episode.
