Can the Democrats save America? This is the story of a party’s journey through the wilderness after the most crushing defeat in history. In a documentary that spans two centuries of American politics, Pod Save America's Jon Favreau talks to more than 100 strategists, historians, activists, and voters about how the party of Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Obama arrived at this moment, and how it can lead the country out.

Ideas for progressives around the world not just US

While the Wilderness looks at what US Dems need to do be politically relevant and to win, much of the discussion (gerrymandering aside) is relevant to progressives in other countries. All developed countries are facing growing income inequality, the need to address racism/colonialism, how to address the global refugee/migration crisis which will only get worse with climate change and how we are going shift to green economies that help transition workers impacted by automation, AI and globalization.

Feminist Electoral History Lesson

This is must-hear information for those of us who are not (yet) feminist scholars. So helpful for understanding how we got to where we are today...and why so many women still support traditional gender roles.

Emotional, contextual and hopeful

Wide ranging, short but deep dives into the various key aspects of politics today. Although I am Canadian, the struggles and lessons translate across borders. A truly thoughtful and touching series, which had me tearing up during a number of the episodes. Thank you!!
