This is the best tool I've found to learn french! I feel more comfortable understanding the radio in french now & I love taking little breaks and learning from Louis. His repeats enough so that I remember new words and his lessons are about current events & daily conversation--always interesting. Would definitely recommend this podcast

Highly recommended

I've been listening to Daily French Pod for almost a year now. It has supplemented my learning wonderfully, and I recommend it to anyone that could use some practice listening to French and building a stronger vocabulary. There is a wonderful mixture of beginner and intermediate lessons, and the length of each lesson is perfect. My favourite episodes are the "Real life French" lessons, which involves charming continuing stories---almost like a mini soap opera---which greatly helps my listening skills. The "word of the day" lessons are also tremendously useful in improving vocabulary. Louis has a wonderful, natural way of explaining words through the use of other similar words, without relying on immediate English translations. This technique, I find, really helps me to think in French rather than constantly thinking and translating in English. While I find the beginner level lessons a little slow sometimes, there is always something to learn from them, and their length makes them worthwhile to listen to, even if they are a little below the level of some of the other lessons. The fact that I become a little impatient at explanations of common words is a sign of how much I've improved. I never miss an episode, and I can't thank Louis enough for all his amazing work to make this podcast available!

Very Useful

I'm currently enrolled in a full-time French program (an adult learner) and have limited time to become bilingual for my job. Several of my classmates and I have started using "Daily Podcast's" as part of our self-paced learning activities. We find them to be quite useful and the added humour makes them that much more interesting!
