Join Bill and Chad as they take a stroll through the dumpster fire of remakes and how Hollywood needs to just stop it. Next, they take a look at the robots we were promised and still haven't received. Lastly, they take a hard look at a ridiculous prophecy that isn't really a prophecy. Imagine: "Behold a pale horse..." and then some idiot says, oh, my god the Lone Ranger beheld a pale horse named Silver! Eeeeerie." Dumb.

Settle into a seat next to Bill, grab your popcorn (don't cut a hole in the bottom of the bucket because Bill won't fall for that twice!) and get ready for Chad's terrifying campfire tale of the Friday the 13th 12-movie story arc!

Can you believe there's been 12 Friday the 13th movies in this slasher franchise out to scare the Jason Voorhees out of you? Well, there has and they are crap! Or mostly crap. If you're a die-hard fan of the franchise, we're sorry to hurt your feelings but too bad - just like this franchise - it's toooo baaad.

Chad took a machete for the team and suffered through nine of them. Find out which three weren't that painful. Which ones made his blood boil, which one left him cold and which one was like a puck in the face! Find out why this franchise is a time capsule for a female body part - and which one? How many degrees of Kevin Bacon is Jason Voorhees? Is Jason afraid of the water? Why is Michael Myers so much better and why didn't they call Jason X: "Spacin' Jason X"?So, take a break from all of that irresponsible sex, make sure all of your campers aren't drowning in Crystal Lake and pull on your fisherman's sweater because you'll no longer be required to watch all of these movies in order to get your hunting season machete license. Bill insisted this not be referred to as comprehensive history but still Chad did all the viewing for you, your fraidy cats, and almost answers all of these questions.

P.S. Can you believe Chad's Aunt Monique didn't know Jason's last name? She asked him and when he told her she was in disbelief, asking where they had said this subtle off-handed script note. Sheesh.

Chad and Bill dive into the greatness of Michael Myers and his top-of-the-heap slasherpalooza Halloween movies.

Next, they take a hard look at why the trend of rooting for the bad guy is taking over the temperament of movie-goers in current times. Are people just so sick of the world that the antagonist is today's protagonist? That explains Trump.

Finally, it's time to look both ways before crossing the street because them cars is possessed. It is not a good time for chickens to be crossing roads.

There's a dearth of genuine people in Hollywood; Canadian actor-comedian John Candy was surely one of them. Larger than life on the screen, Candy passed away from a heart attack in 1994. But in his formidalbe wake he left a library of quality movies and television, so in this episode Bill and Chad remember such classics as Uncle Buck, Summer Rental, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and others.
Show Notes:03:39  - Uncle Buck.06:03 - The language of real life.07:08 - By way of comparison: Uncle Buck vs. Parenthood.11:38 - Really hits home watching the movie after having kids.13:56 - Losing John Candy was like losing a close friend.14:53 - Johnny LaRue16:04 - The toothpick guy.18:30 - One problem with Uncle Buck.19:25 - Planes, Trains and Automobiles.21:37 - YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!!24:43 - Summer Rental.30:49 - Stripes.36:13 - The Great Outdoors. (I meant to say spin cycle, not rinse cycle - Bill)43:13 - Only the Lonely + the unbearable 'acting' of Ally Sheedy.46:19 - By way of comparison: Molly Ringwald.49:55 - The Canadian Conspiracy.

After appearing in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi in a major role as rebel technician Rose Tico, Kelly Marie Tran has supposedly removed all of her posts on Instagram due to intense harassment and racist comments on her feed. But is this really the case? And is it the best course of action in the face of Internet trolls and a-holes? We talk it out in this episode, and for a positive spin Chad also points out some quality movies and TV shows he's been watching.
Show Notes:03:33 - Don't accentuate the negative and eliminate the positive.04:49 - The Deadpool hypothesis.07:32 - The power of the dark side.08:51 - The problem of anonymity.13:05 - Case in point: How Nerdstalking handles criticism in its feeds.16:51 - Was trolling the REAL reason for Tran to drop off Instagram?21:09 - The price of stardom.22:52 - The democracy of numbers.25:18 - Chad's entertainment choices starts.25:28 - Remake of The Magnificent Seven.25:55 - The Killjoys.27:36 - You can't watch TV shows with your Mother these days.29:07 - Curb Your Enthusiasm.31:04 - Orphan Black.40:18 - John Wick 2: Electric Boogaloo.43:07 - The movie of the Planet of the Apes.
