NDO is my Religion

The NDO podcast is a breath of fresh air in a crowded podcast space. Ryan brings in interesting guests and has energetic conversations regarding music, business, culture and recent events. The interviews and conversations are always raw and are guaranteed to teach you a thing or two. Ryan doesn’t just have one type of guest on NDO which is what makes the podcast so interested. Every episode has someone with a new unique perspective and a different take on life.

In order to explain how entertaining the NDO podcast is, I will now get you to close your eyes and imagine the following:
You wake up at 6:30am and are ready to start your day. You’re really going to kill it today. You realize it is June 21st which happens to be the longest day of the year. You first walk downtown to go and grab a coffee. You hear a familiar tune on the way to the coffee shop. Fresh Prince of Belair. S**t, you realize you haven’t heard that theme song in years. As you walk in you realize Will Smith, the man himself is sitting there talking to your buddy. You join Will and your buddy and get a nice large cup of coffee, black just the way you like it. After a few hours of telling Will how much you love Men in Black he says he has to go but wants you to come chill with him later in the evening. Will tells you that there a concert going on later that day and says he knows a guy who can put you on the guest list. You graciously accept and tell him you will be there at 7PM sharp. The rest of your day goes by, you eat at some cool restaurants, get more than usual accomplished at work, and are genuinely just in a great mood all day. At 6:30PM you start heading back downtown to meet up with your buddy and Will to attend this mystery concert Will invite you to. Will directs you to this tiny hole in a wall bar called “Big Papusa’s” and you go up to the bouncer and tell him your name. You think to yourself, “Jeez, I didn’t think Will Smith of all people would attend places like this.” As you go in you hear your favourite song “Juicy” by Notorious B.I.G. It sounds too real to be a cover. You look up and Biggie Smalls is playing live in the flesh. You look at your phone and realize it is 1995. After “Juicy” finishes you wake up. It was all dream (I used to read word up magazine…).

Once you wake up you realize there is a new NDO podcast up. At this point you are not even mad that the crazy experience you just had was all fake. You put your headphones in and start listening to Ryan Antooa’s whimsical, pleasurable and gracious voice. This is true happiness.
