Trying to avoid overwhelm and disappointment while moving toward your goal

Going for goals can be, well, disappointing. Trying to get something done might give you feelings of failure when you don't get it done. Are you a goal setter or do you wing it? I hate goal-setting myself. I'll share some of my thoughts on this to help you avoid disappointment after disappointment.

The inner conflict of tough decisions

The inner conflict of tough decisions

What drives the important decisions in your life, fear or desire? In this episode I talk about a person's fear of visiting his father because of family that doesn't want him there. I also talk about how to start trusting again after someone betrays you... is there a path to wholeness after such an event?

Can a chronic complainer ever be content?

Can a chronic complainer ever be content?

There's a fine line between real suffering versus just getting stuck in a cycle of feeling sorry for yourself. The chronic complainer's suffering is real, but is it self-inflicted? Do they really want to change? And do some people benefit from expressing their pain and suffering?  There's no victim-blaming here. I'm just exploring a subject many of us might run into.

My favourite Podcast

I’ve been listening to these podcasts for just over a year now!! Updated review here.

Paul is such an incredible man. I’ve managed to rebuild and strengthen relationships, as well as make new ones and so much more.

I’ve gone from being a hermit to opening up and trusting again.
From $14/hr to $45-65/hr and owning my own business that I actually love.
Closing off and unknowingly being passive aggressive to opening up with the RIGHT people and owning my issues.
I’ve paid off $30,000 in debt in under 8 months after unlearning old habits and creating new ones! Also my weird attachment with money.

There’s so much positivity in my life.

I’m tearing up just writing this.
With God, Paul, & a therapist I had for all but 6 months my life has totally changed.

It wasn’t overnight to anyone reading this. It was day by day.

Paul. Thank you. I never could’ve imagined a life in such vivid colours. Even on the hard days I have such a new perspective and new coping mechanisms to handle it.

Also. I have a totally new vocabulary thanks to the array of words and phrases you’ve used and described. This has helped me repair so much in my life and realize my issues as well as issues I have with others.

Transparency, steadiness, bluntness are where it’s at with TOB.

Love it here.

Thanks for the community you’ve created.

With love, care, and gratitude,
Trystal

What a whiner

Lol my brain always sees another side to EVERYTHING
I’m sorry but you sound like a complete whiner.
Your upset because someone stood to close to you, did you consider moving.
I’ve tried listening to your podcasts so many times, your ability to let the littlest of situations bother you don’t sit well with me
Continue please I’m sure there are many self absorbed whiners that need to be validated

Soothing and Informative

I really enjoy this podcast and find the topics spot on . I also feel a huge sense of calm when listening to your voice so if I’m having anxiety or any type of nervousness I put on any podcast and it’s almost like a lullaby . So both informative and soothing and very helpful especially for free !!! Thank you ! Jackie
