best health podcast

Chris Kresser's podcast is the best source of health information I've found on the internet. He takes a science-based approach to health and nutrition (unlike mainstream doctors who are not up to date with recent studies, and tend to have very little nutrition education).

I truly respect Chris's approach and how he integrates primal/paleo lifestyle without being dogmatic about it. He always brings clarity to a topic, and draws on his extensive experience treating real patients, as well as his knowledge of peer-reviewed medical journals.

His hosts (Danny Roddy and the newly joined Steve Wright) are quite knowledgeable too and add a lot to the podcast. (episode 2 was Chris going solo, and it's just not as entertaining listening to someone talk to themselves!)

Note, I certainly do find a lot of "healthy skepticism" in the podcast material -- and my own health has improved immensely the more skeptical I've been of mainstram nutrition and health.

Informative alternative to conventional "wisdom"

Really informative podcast on alternative health and nutrition. If you are looking for why you should follow the food guide and food pyramid (US) and follow conventional wisdom of eating low cal, low fat, low cholesterol then you are at the wrong podcast.
Instead Chris Kresser provides information on the latest research as to why you should eat real whole unprocessed food (which does NOT include things like GMO soy, corn, and whole grain bread) and avoid foods that cause things like autoimmune disease, obesity, gut problems and skin irritants. He talks about how there is not a one size fits all diet and presents a grounded view of how to change how you look at the food you eat and how it fuels your body. Lots of valuable information.
