Academic but not stuffy

Phil and Matt do an amazing job of combining new and hot topics that I actually care about with a down to earth conversational background. Their scholarly knowledge really shines through but is very accessible and engaging. Highly recommend, give 'em a listen! Great mixing too.

Need more episodes!

Great podcast! Phil and Matt are fun hosts that invite listeners to engage with complex social issues and theories at a conversational level. As a current PhD student edging my way to the post-academic and sans-tenure future, they remind me of the purpose in philosophy and critiquing everyday life. Their banter is hilarious and their conversation will bring in more than just academics but also curious individuals and fans of contemporary social issues. Looking forward to hearing more from Phil and Matt.

Super informative but not dull!

This show teaches you things in a way that make you feel not dumb but smart af. Impress your friends and family with the tidbits of well researched information while being entertained by the hosts! I’m a regular listener.
