The podcast that goes one-on-one with the writers, artists, retailers, publishers, critics and journalists inside the Toronto comic book scene. Aaron Broverman has been collecting comics in earnest since 1995 and has been a fixture of the Toronto comic scene since 2003. He was there when big name artists for Marvel, DC and Image were selling their independent comics in artist alley at local Toronto conventions. Now, he hopes to use his interview skills as a professional journalist for NOW Magazine, BlogTO, Huffington Post, Vice and Yahoo to bring his connections in the local comic scene right to your ear for some in-depth, candid conversations on all things comic book.

THE Toronto Comics Podcast

In addition to having the honour of being one of the earlier guests on the show, I love that Aaron delves deep into the full mosaic that makes up the Toronto Comics Scene, covering all perspectives from creators to retailers and everything in between. His professional yet conversational interview style puts his guests at ease, and listening to the show, you feel as though you are eavesdropping on a wonderful discussion about comics, between two (or more) friends. It's great to hear about new projects from both established and up-and-coming creators, and discover how life in the TDOT has uniquely influenced their journey. My only complaint is that listening to each episode usually results in me seeking out a new book/ series or some hidden gem that I was previously unaware of...and I'm way beyond overflowing bookshelves!

A compelling listen

The thing I love about these podcasts is how indepth Broverman delves. You get a real sneak peek into the real lives of these creators, and what inspires them.

Behind the scenes look at Torontos comic culture

A Great show that really digs deep into the Toronto comic scene , both from a creators point of view as well as those influencing the industry from retailers to media. The host, Aaron, does a good job at keeping the conversations fluid and insightful by asking introspective questions to his guests. Well done. 👍🙌
