Thanks Shaolan!

Thanks so kindly Shaolan. I managed to get through ALL 365 of your podcasts! I would say that the most valuable part of the experience, for me, were your cultural ancedotes --which helped me contextualize the characters and "doubling-up" of Chinese words. I've also always loved your laugh :)

Not Efficient!!!

Terrible podcast for learning Chinese. One or two new words and then lots of unnecessary talks. The focus must be on learning Chinese not introducing certain people or products. Listener easily looses focus and forgets the new word when most of the podcast time is in English and different unrelated issues are discussed.
Just one example of many is lesson 45. In 15 minutes podcast only one word in verb and noun form is mentioned which needs only 30 seconds and the rest is completely unnecessary talks.
Words and phrases are nicely explained but too much time wasted to learn too little.
Shorter podcast time with less unnecessary talks and more focus on teaching useful words and phrases , definitely will be more beneficial for listeners who really want to learn the language.

Only just started - loving the lessons and the humour

This podcast is good vibes through and through. Shaolan and her guests fill the tiny space of 3 to 5 minutes with a good serving of Chinese words, phrases, pronunciations, variations, and cultural contexts. Oh! And of course! I love the humour and lightness of each episode. My favourite bite-sized podcast so far. I can't wait to try all these new words with my Chinese friends, get a good laugh out of it, and learn :)
