Great stuff

Wonderful to hear this again after all these years - I listen everyday on my rail commute to Toronto. However, each episode manages to seize up my wife's Nano, whenever she tries to listen. Must be all that muck and straw...

Not in Canada eh? Too bad

I got hooked when I lived in uk. Now I am back home in victoria bc and listen every am while I walk to work. I wish CBC would produce a running serial drama

60 years old and still going strong

A great radio serial with 15-minute episodes six days a week, The Archers is "an every day story of country folk" which has kept up with the extraordinary changes in society and farming that have taken place since it first started in 1951. It's in turn funny, dramatic, enthralling, informative and, yes, occasionally irritating! Although it is set in England, Canadian listeners will have no difficulty relating to the people and situations in The Archers. I only wish the CBC would notice the popularity of its sole radio serial set in Afghanistan and develop a domestic version of The Archers for its devoted listeners. Enjoy!
