Veni, vidi, vici

Mike Duncan's history of Rome is a good introduction to Roman history told in an accessible, anecdotal manner. Duncan does a good job of blending the mythological with the historical. Serious students of Roman history will find this a bit elementary, but newbies and amateurs will find lots here to enjoy. Could use more in the way of sound / music effects. I keep expecting the soundtrack to Galdiator to kick in . . . Keep at it Mike.

I stumbled onto this podcast, and have not been disapointed! Mike Duncan in informative, interesting, and a fresh voice on the ancient city. Having just visited Rome a month ago, listening to this podcast gave me an interestng backdrop to what I saw. I highly recommend.

Epic podcast!

My room mate from law school had told me he was listening to this podcast on his drives home from school. Attending a University an hour and a half away from where I live, you can only imagine how long these rides can be! That being said, I download this podcast every week and listen to it on my way home. It truly is the highlight of my week! We need more!
