Customer Reviews

Danko fan or not, this is a great podcast!

I’m a big Danko Fan and have seen them live a bunch of times. The songs are great but the best part of a live DJ show is the Bombastic, quick witted and usually very funny stage banter. In this podcast you get to hear the human side of this fiery performer. He is a smart, cool headed, music and comedy aficionado with a great ability to describe the highs and lows of life in a rock band. And please don’t let me leave out the most-of-the-time sidekick, comedian/musician Nick Flanagan who has his own pile of crazy stories to add. The interview with Scott Thompson from Kids in the hall was one of my favorites, and during the Patrick Pentland interview I thought to myself, the lead singer of my favorite band is interviewing the lead singer of my Second favorite band (Sloan) how awesome is this! P.S. I hope JC makes it on the podcast and shares a few good stories. I'm sure there is plenty to pick from.

Lend your ears to one of Canada's hardest rocking frontmen

With the success Danko Jones has experienced in Euroland, those of us in his homeland of Canada should really pay attention.
Interviews, reviews, and anecdotes from his life and music really give insights to the Canadian Hard Rock scene. Entertaining at best , and amusing at worst, this should be on your iPod for your commute.

Danko's podcast

Really into it! Danko's an accomplished journalist in Europe?!... I knew this, but never had the opportunity to read his work! I appreciate the podcast because his articles are funny, satyrical, and quite articulate. It's a great platform for people to hear his work who generally would never get the opportunity. The newer episodes are longer and have a different format, but equally as good. These newer podcasts are nothing flashy, but are full of good conversation that covers a random spectrum of topics. The podcast comes across as very organic and not overly contrived. Danko's a good conversationist who is equal parts: opinionated, passionate and adaptive to the random tangents that occur during the discussions. These podcasts are genuinely interesting and truly engage the listener no matter the topic or guest. These podcasts are rooted in a deep appreciation for music but do not end there. Great listen! Subscribe f*ckers!
