Music producers take note!

I started listening a couple months back and to be honest, I’m kicking myself for not listening to this sooner. The amount of insight on what goes on behind the mix, whether it be workflow, clients, mindset or gear (which is less important than you think haha), is like a speed lane for aspiring mixer/recording engineers. If you are part fo nail the mix, this is the perfect compliment to the education you are getting on that platform. And even if your not, STILL LISTEN! The information in here is golden! I have already implement a ton of things i have learnt from this podcast into my day-to-day and it has very rewarding.

Too much fluff

If you’re listening to this podcast to become better at making music you’re going to have to sit through a lot of uninteresting personal information about where X producer went to school or who Y engineer’s favourite middle school teacher was. Way better podcasts out there that are actually on recording and producing. Or better yet just sign up to the URM academy and skip all this shinfo

The URM Podcast Gave Me Hope

I am a LONG TIME listener to the URM podcast because I’ve listening ever since the first year of the podcast. Like many people will tell you, the information in this podcast is absolutely fantastic but for me it’s much deeper than just that.

URM means a great deal to me personally because it got through a very dark period in my life. I spent every waking hour I could on music simply because I loved it but I had no idea how I could ever make music a real career. Especially when I was stuck in an academic graduate program I hated and was told it was impossible and discouraged by family from an early age.

Listening to this podcast and realizing that these professionals felt EXACTLY the same way I do about music and that many of them did transition from other careers gave me hope that I could do the same. For that, I’m forever grateful because I’m finally on my music career path.

Also if you love the podcast, please get a URM subscription! I joined last time and it’s changed my life so much for the better. Thank you so much URM!
