Update part 6

My mom like you wasn’t athletic she was the creative and always had a smile and a kind word to everyone. When she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s she always tired to go for a walk in the evening to relax. Initially it wasn’t difficult and she and her neighbor after Dinner would be out for 20+ minutes and she even seem more low key . But as winter and the snow and ice appeared more hesitant because she was afraid she would slip . At a trip to Las Vegas in 2009 and Fairmount in 2010 she was still very mobile and we had trouble keeping up with her. It was late 2010 l saw her gait became wobbly and at that time the cancer that wouldn’t be diagnosed till 2011 was effecting her mobility. Then her daily exercise abruptly stopped and an apathy feeling turned her into herself and we saw a frustrated women who became anger at what was happening to her body and mind.

honest, entertaining, informative

This podcast strikes the perfect balance between engaging story telling and the delivery of information about Parkinsons. I find Larry's honesty, insight and ability to keep a sense of humour uplifting and inspiring. Thanks to him and his family for letting us in on their journey and helping me understand more about the disease.

Insightful, definitely worth a listen...

Just finished listening to the first episode and came away excited about listening to the next episode. Thank you to both Mr & Mrs Gifford for sharing this life altering disease that has come into your life with your listeners. I look forward too learning a lot from you both about how it affects you and of course your son.
Thanks for sharing, Carol.
