The Girls are back! Returning for its sophomore season, the hit HBO comedy series from writer/director/star Lena Dunham continues to follow the lives of aspiring 20-something writer Hannah Horvath (Dunham) and her complicated web of New York City friends, ex-friends, boyfriends, and ex-boyfriends. In Season 2, Hannah forges ahead in her writing career and begins seeing someone new, but her enthusiasm is tempered by the responsibility she feels for her now-ex Adam--convalescing after his Season 1 finale accident--and the pressures of the publishing business. Meanwhile, Jessa, Marnie and Shoshanna makes strides in their own relationships and jobs, though the bumps they encounter remind them that they still have a lot to learn.

This series started strong and intrigued me for the entirety of the first season. However, second season happened and the story just got weirder and weirder and have I mentioned, weirder!? The episodes in the second season just don't hold my interest anymore. The characters seem like they're becoming too immature, with the exception of Shoshana. I think Lena Dunham needs to step up her writing for the third season. I want to see a plot that's more realistic and doesn't branch off to twenty other different directions. I want consistency in the writing and storyline. Is that too much to ask!? I will give S3E1 a shot but if it's not up to par, I'm walking away and never ever looking back.
