Lost Girl, Season 2HD14+

Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

Description

Lost Girl follows supernatural seductress Bo (Anna Silk: Being Erica; Billable Hours), a Succubus who feeds on the sexual energy (sometimes called "Chi") of humans. Growing up with human parents, Bo has no reason to believe she's anything other than the girl next door – until she drains her boyfriend to death in their first sexual encounter. Once she hits the road, Bo discovers she is one of the Fae, creatures of legend and folklore, who pass as humans while feeding off them secretly, as they have for millennia.

Sexy, Smart, Engaging

Canada does fantasy nicely. I've loved this series from the very beginning, Show Case has done an amazing job with the script. Dialogues and pace are sharp and the story moves along every episode. The first season at only $10.99 is a steal in HD and the second season seems to start out nicely. No puritanical lessons, just nice messy angst, that reminds me of the days of third season of Buffy and Angel.

Sexy, funny action

I wasn't sure what to expect from this show, but, after catching a couple of episodes on Showcase, I was hooked.

The star of the show is absolutely stunning as "Bo", the title character (although I'll always think of her as the crazy flight attendant in those Nicoderm ads). She's incredibly sexy, which isn't gratuitous, but just fits the concept of her character in a natural way. The show doesn't take itself too seriously, and the "buddy comedy" aspects of her relationship with the Kenzi character are hilarious, as are her perpetually dysfunctional relationship with the detective/werewolf Dyson.

I bought season 1 and 2 and really enjoyed every episode. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys an adult show with some well thought-out mystical elements, sex, humour, and action.
