CoinTicker is a Mac status bar app that provides the latest prices for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, Polygon, Dogecoin and many other altcoins/cryptocurrencies. Set it to pull prices and all currency pairs from your favorite coin exchange and get updates at your own pace (from real-time to 30 minute intervals) in the status bar.

Simple and fast ticker with some bugs currently

Use this app long time and like it because it’s the only one with realtime capacibilites. But I saw two bugs all the time:
- Sometimes (if wake up the macbook or so) the price hangs. That’s not ideal since I must trust the value.
- Sometimes the value is some placeholder things (can’t reproduce it now)
Would be very nice if there would be improvements :)

Good app but should be clearer for beginners

The app is very convenient but the wide choice of currencies available should be easier to access for beginners who are not aware of the different currencies exchanges platforms

Thanks for the feedback! Actually, all the currencies listed in the description are supported. You must first select an exchange that has these currencies available. If you're pointing to the GDAX exchange, you will only see Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin. If you point to the Kraken exchange, you will see a lot more. Each exchange has its own set of supported coins.
