    Ep. 014 : Vivardy Boursiquot

I have to admit two things right off the bat in the interest of full transparency: 1 - I'm ashamed that it took me so long to get this interview down the pipeline. You often take into account the privilege to count some of the photographers you brush shoulders with not just as your peers but as your very real friends. So, in that sense, I really should have made a bigger effort to make this exchange happen wayyyy sooner. But hey, as you'll come to realize by the personality of my gracious guest, he doesn't hold a grudge - at least not as far as I can tell. 2 - I'm super jealous. No, really. If I have to sum it up...this phottographer has been producing some truly impressive and resounding work. And I don't say this lightly. A steady and focused(oh my, what a horrible pun!) creator of some remarkable work, I had to tip my humble hat for I have seen his work evolve and progress into something that I truly can say is both impactful and genuine in its own right. So yea, I'm jealous. I said it. Sue me. But on serious note, though: It's always a pleasure and a treat to get to sit down and share insights with some of the people whose work and craft I truly respect and Vivardy Boursiquot is none to be set aside. I hope you enjoy this delightful exchange as much I did. You can find Vivardy's work via his Instagram feed & show some love by liking his Facebook page. Older work also available on his Flickr stream as well as 500px. As always, thank you for your continued support fo this program. It means a lot. Don't forget to share and spread the word as every little nudge is a step forward. Leave a comment as constructive feedback is and always will be appreciated. Be blessed. #StayAwesome If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element Direct link to downloading the audio version available here (Do a 'Right-Click' - then select  "Save Link/Target As...')

Ep. 013 : Your photography sucks, here's why (Roundtable)

Ep. 013 : Your photography sucks, here's why (Roundtable)

When a WhatsApp conversation turns into an impromptu recording, what you get is an interestingly fresh and unapologetic twist - as it shows in this recent episode. Unfiltered, unpolished but indeed, still Safe For Work, it's definitely the most creative and enthused I've felt about a recording - especially after such a long hiatus. For this conversation, our third photography roundtable, Vivardy Boursiquot, Dimitri Rousseau and I will take a candid and sincere look at some the many and honest "reasons" why one's photography and overall body of work can and eventually will ...suck. We're not saying we're not guilty of these, just that we're honest enough to admit it. A fun talk which I hope you'll enjoy as much as we did. #StayAwesome If you cannot see the audio controls, your browser does not support the audio element Direct link to downloading the audio version available here (Do a 'Right-Click' - then select  "Save Link/Target As...')

Ep. 012 : Chef Alain Lemaire

Ep. 012 : Chef Alain Lemaire

I'm very excited about this one. Just to be clear right off the bat - this will NOT be a photography conversation. I've you've kept in touch as of late, you'll have noticed that I've followed through on my intent to take the podcast in a more authentic direction that was not entirely centered around my photographic interests. Still keeping in line with my core values of "Photography. Motivation. Life Lessons", the guests I want to sit down with will not only be from a photographic background but as diverse and colorful as their awesome personalities can be. That's what drives me. That's what I want to tap into and that I hope to be able to bring to you over the next few months. That said, on this episode, I welcome the very inspiring and ever-so talented Chef Alain Lemaire, Co-Owner & Executive Chef at Sensory Delights LLC. Chef Lemaire is based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL but originally hails from my native homeland in the Caribbean, Haiti. Having featured in numerous food events throughout the United States and overseas, he is also Co-Producer of the first ever culinary battle televised show in Haiti called Le Chef. Through his efforts as a founding member and the Secretary General of the Haitian Culinary Alliance, he aims at creating a network of food service, culinary and hospitality professionals of Haitian descent while providing mentoring and educational resources to them. I wanted to have him on the podcast as I believe the culinary arts to be to be just that - an art. And as such, I've never failed to acknowledge to intensity, commitment, passion, discipline, and relentless creativity one has to develop to go from "m'eh..." to "Da-Yum!". If you follow his YouTube Channel (which you should), you'll have noticed what a warm, generous and inspiring individual he is. Infectiously humble, he's certainly got an awesome story to tell. I am certainly looking forward to hearing his personal insight on the topics of chasing one's dreams, facing obstacles, self-doubt in the face of adversity, resilience, clichés and misguided opinions about the culinary industry, how cooking is not a "woman's job"...and so much more. Also, in the realm of all things things awesome, he recently competed on Food Network's popular cooking competition, Cutthroat Kitchen, titled "Molasses, Mo' Problems". I will NOT give out the details, you'll just have to watch it for yourself and show your love and support. You can be sure I'll be asking Chef Lemaire what it was like to perform under such intense pressure on such a powerful platform. You can stay in touch and follow his various online footprints which include : Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+ and YouTube. I want to thank Chef Lemaire for his time and valuable insight and to you as well, loyal listeners and supporters, for tuning in for this wonderful discussion. Enjoy. Ep. 011 : Social Circle (Photography Roundtable)

Ep. 011 : Social Circle (Photography Roundtable)

On this episode, I welcome back my awesome gang of creative misfits. On the roundtable's docket this time around : Social Media and its ever reaching impact on our mindset, norms and overall practices.  How are we coping with the millennial expectations of the "Want It Now/Need It Yesterday/Already Gone"? This is not an endorsement of the obvious and various platforms we choose to publish our content on.  I feel that's been done already. It's an obviously extensive topic and we've certainly got our fair share of ground to cover. A very active and enlightened conversation full of amazing opinions and anecdotes. I'm thankful to my guests Koralie Deetjen-Woodward , Dimitri Rousseau & Vivardy Boursiquot for their insight as we dive into this exciting discussion - and to you, for tuning in. Hope you'll enjoy. Ep. 010 : Your Work Has Worth (Photography Roundtable)

Ep. 010 : Your Work Has Worth (Photography Roundtable)

On this episode, I welcome a very delightful array of fellow photographers (Koralie Deetjen-Woodward, Dimitri Rousseau & Vivardy Boursiquot) as we discuss the recent uproar/grudge match caused by photographer Jason Sheldon's scathing letter to Taylor Swift following her criticism of Apple Music and its policies. Yet another instance where we, as creatives and artists have to define where the line is drawn in regards to how we choose to be compensated for our work. Sure promises to be an insightful discussion which I hope you'll enjoy. Ep. 009 : Age of Spartan racing (ft. Eric Lafalaise)

Ep. 009 : Age of Spartan racing (ft. Eric Lafalaise)

On this episode, I get together with my friend and acolyte, independant filmmaker Eric Lafalaise, for a candid and frankly hilarious post-mortem of our running the Spartan Super in Mont-Tremblant this past sunday.  From not leaving your man behind to asking one's self some serious questions as to why you'd put yourself through such agony...with a little bit of Marvel movie madness thrown in there for good measure - you'll wanna hear why Eric is wagging his finger at the famed studio company... Eric's online footprint includes his awesome Blog, Twitter, and Google+. You can also show some support by heading over to his Patreon page where your pledge will have Eric give you his personal review of movies of your choice. Show some Love!
