Before Famous

Before Famous

With boom-bap drums and head-nodding rhymes that evoke hardcore ’90s hip-hop, the opening track of Before Famous is a warning that Miky Woodz won’t be sticking to the Latin trap playbook. Like many of his peers, Woodz can rock a Spanish twist on the Migos flow, shouting out his favourite designer labels as the bass detonates (“Yeah, I Know”) and spitting furiously over menacing synths (“Lo Hice”). But then he slips into brightly melodic reggaetón (“Tu Regresas”), still delivering serious bars whatever the style.
