Reseña de álbum

How often does a writer get to mention bands as diverse as King Diamond, Judas Priest, Queensrÿche, Rush, Iron Maiden, Page & Plant, Rob Zombie, Powerman 5000, and Alice Cooper in one sentence? Well, thank Crimson Glory (Wade Black, Jon Drenning, Ben Jackson, Jeff Lords, and Steve Wacholz) for that. They show influential nods to all of those groups in the music on this album. Of course, they have given listeners much more than that with Astronomica; they have given the world an album which both entertains and pushes the envelope of progressive metal. Its texture seems to combine the sounds of Page & Plant with a healthy does of both The X Files (yes, the television show) and Queensrÿche. Other highlights on the disc include "Edge of Forever," "Cydonia," and "Touch the Sun."
