Along with Sweden's Hellacopters, Gluecifer follow in the tradition of adrenaline-soaked Americana rock from the frozen tundra's of Scandinavia. Even if this six-song sampler exclusively features previously released material, Get the Horn has it all: wailing, wah-wah peddled guitar solos and a hoot and hollering vocals, yet not one hint of "freedom rock." How the albums of the MC5, Dead Boys, MC5, AC/DC, and Motorhead get imported to Gluecifer's home of Oslo, Norway is a wonder, but as long as EPs such as Get The Horn are conceived, how the influences get there is no real issue.

Scandinavian cock rock combo Gluecifer was formed in Oslo, Norway, in 1994 by frontman Biff Malibu, guitarists Captain Poon and Sinduru Khan, bassist Jon Average, and drummer Glueros Hellfire. Debuting the following year with the single "God's Chosen Dealer," in 1996 Gluecifer returned with the 12" Dick Disguised as Pussy; swapping Khan and Hellfire for guitarist Raldo Useless and drummer Danny Young, in 1997 the group issued its first full-length effort, the White Jazz label release Ridin' the Tiger....
