On their 1996 breakthrough, Fugees got heads nodding to their infectious blend of hip-hop, reggae and R&B. Flipping effortlessly between gritty realism and sly humour, the trio captivated millions with their charismatic mic skills, dropping street-smart rhymes over fierce, soulful beats (“Ready or Not”, “Zealots”).
