#Citybots

Descripción editorial

#Citybots was a literary contest held unofficially during the #TwitterFiction Festival, Nov. 28 – Dec. 2, 2012.

Readers followed a series of five very short stories by @blueberrio about robots going about their business in cities around the world, with hashtags #citybots #vss #twitterfiction and the city.

People were invited to write their own stories, to win a prize (a digital keychain zine). Five authors entered. Along with @blueberrio, featured stories in this collection were written by @MikeArnzen, @SooGuy68, @sarcastic_f, @mediapathic, and @TheBatInTheHat. The winning entry (the most RTed) was a tale by @mediapathic.

Concurrently, an official #TwitterFiction Festival contest was taking place. Tweets tagged with #vss were entered in the Very Short Story Contest hosted by Code Meets Print, with the most RTed stories showcased by the festival on Dec. 2. #Citybots #Seoul by @blueberrio placed 11th.

Afterwards, the #Citybots stories were remixed with photos of robots for a digital photo frame keychain gadget, in a special edition zine displayed in a slideshow on a 1.5" LCD screen. A limited number are still available for sale.

Now, the collection is released in this free ebook edition.
