About Franz Lehrndorfer

The organist for the Munich Cathedral between 1969 and 2003, Franz Lehrndorfer was also the head of the Department of Organ and Catholic Liturgical Music at the Munich Conservatory, and founded a School of Organ in the city. On the 500th anniversary of the cathedral (and his 25th as organist), Lehrndorfer inaugurated a new organ with a performance featured on The Concert for Celestial Harmonies. He also contributed to the compilation Celestial Christmas 5. ~ John Bush
