About Pendragon

Progressive rockers, Pendragon, formed in Gloucestershire in 1977 and toured extensively across the U.K. But with the music industry in the throes of punk, few record labels offered them a sympathetic hearing until 1982, when they signed to Elusive Records (owned by Marillion’s then manager). Two albums followed, FLY HIGH FALL FAR and THE JEWEL, both showcasing the band’s penchant for grand themes. The band formed a label, Toff Records, debuting with KOWTOW in 1989, and releasing THE WORLD in 1991. THE WINDOW OF LIFE (1993) was promoted with their most extensive tour to date, and they subsequently licensed their entire catalogue to Pony Canyon for Japan, a nation where they found enormous success.
