Horky received both classical and modern music training in some of the best music schools in Vienna, Austria. Though he plays keyboards and percussion, his main instrument is the flute. This includes bass, alto, soprano, bamboo, and glass flutes, as well as others of exotic origin. His style is characterized by traces of minimalist, ambient, ethnic, and ritual music. Horky is also closely allied with the new-age movement in his desire to create deeply spiritual, uplifting music. ~ Linda Kohanov
