The Curse of Company

About The Curse of Company

Formed by singer/songwriter, designer, and actor David Wiley Rennick of the progressive pop outfit Dappled Cities. Australia's the Curse of Company also include the talents of vocalist Sarah Kelly (Redsunband), drummer Danny Heifetz (Mr. Bungle), bass player Jack Ladder, and co-producer/engineer Burke Reid (Gerling). The group's vaguely apocalyptic sound draws inspiration from artists like Velvet Underground, Neil Young, Nick Cave, and the Dirty Three, as well as films such as Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey. The band's theatrical, reverb-drenched debut, Leo Magnets Joins a Gang, was released on Dangerbird Records in 2008. ~ James Christopher Monger
