About The Lacs

Georgia duo The Lacs have combined Southern rock and Southern hip-hop for two decades, dropping hits and laying the groundwork for country rap’s move into the mainstream. ∙ After independently releasing a series of albums in the 2000s, The Lacs signed to Backroad Records, a label cofounded by country rap star Colt Ford. ∙ Their 2012 190 Proof LP was the first of five albums that landed on the Billboard 200, and it featured guest spots from Big & Rich and Bubba Sparxxx. ∙ With their Outlaw In Me LP, they simultaneously reached No. 3 on both Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Top Rap Albums charts in 2015. ∙ The pair has featured on tracks from fellow country rap artists Moonshine Bandits, Charlie Farley, and Hard Target. ∙ The Lacs teamed up with country duo Montgomery Gentry for “Jack in My Coke,” a song off their 2017 album American Rebelution.
