Tripping the Light Fantastic are a seven-piece indie pop group based in Hamburg, Germany. Although their collaborative musical history dates back to 2001, the existing version of the group didn't form until 2008. Members Frauke Brammer, Adrian Adam, Cornelius von Tiedemann, Henning Kasbohm, Jil Hesse, Johannes Huhmann, Leif Gütschow, and Tilman van der Leeden utilize a blend of male and female harmonies with different singers often sharing lead vocals from song to song. Their upbeat melodic pop style harks back to twee forebears like Orange Juice and the Pastels, but with frequent stylistic shifts showing the band's various personalities. The band initially released two singles in 2013 before completing its debut LP, ...Is Tripping the Light Fantastic, which was released in early 2014 by Jigsaw Records. ~ Timothy Monger
