As its title implies, 20 Best of Love collects instrumental versions of classic love songs, including "When I Fall in Love," "Moon River," and "The Way You Look Tonight," as performed by the 101 Strings Orchestra. The collection epitomizes the lush, more-than-slightly cheesy sound of the ensemble, whose '50s and '60s heyday is reflected in song choices like "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing," "The Look of Love," and "Memories Are Made of This"; "We've Only Just Begun" and "The Way We Were," meanwhile, branch out into '70s kitsch. Anyone looking for more contemporary-sounding mood music will be disappointed, but fans (ironic or otherwise) of old-school easy listening instrumentals will enjoy being carried away on the sweeping strings of 20 Best of Love.
