Here, Queensbridge MC Prodigy branches out beyond his Mobb Deep partnership with producer Havoc and links up with The Alchemist. The result is satisfyingly funky and hard, exemplified in the haunting whispers of bass on “Mac 10 Handle”, with Prodigy intensely and calmly delivering threats over a spare beat. Elsewhere, “Take It to the Top” has a dense groove and sharp percussion, and on “Stuck On You”, a sped-up Barry White soul sample becomes as gritty as it is infectious.
