Album Review

LPs on the Harmony division could be reissues or unreleased outtakes from Columbia. In any case this is not Noro Morales at his best. The most captivating track is "Guili Guili," with a somewhat Oriental premise. It may be simply that the mambo and piano are not suited for each other. Or that "Mambo" in the title does not a great mambo make. The ten tracks are worth hearing for Morales' piano with conga, but do not expect any essentials missing from the Latin canon.
