This is a CD reissue of the LP, recorded in 1979, that marked the beginning of Rita Lee's partnership with husband Roberto de Carvalho. At the time, she was pregnant with her son Beto Lee, who became an accompanist in her music. Several of her biggest hits are present: "Chega Mais" (dance music), "Papai Me Empresta o Carro" and "Arrombou a Festa No. 2" (rock), and "Doce Vampiro" and "Mania de Você" (acoustic rock ballads). Songs not featured here include "Corre Corre" (dance music), "Elvira Pagã" (rock), and the reggae "Maria Mole."

Rita Lee is a central figure in Brazilian rock. A former member of the seminal rock band Os Mutantes, she eventually departed from that group and began an extremely successful solo career in the rock and dance styles that have lasted for more than 30 years.
