Album Review

As the title suggests, Remixed features dance-oriented remixes of De/Vision's synth pop, which recalls some of the music in that style from the '80s without ever specifically aping it. A dark, nearly goth feel permeates many of the tracks, particularly "Bleed Me White [Come of Age Mix]," "Moments We Shared [Nocomment Mix]," and "Try to Forget [Never 4get 2mix]." Most of the tracks here can be found in their original versions on De/Vision's best-of Zehn, although "Endlose Träume" and "Take Me to the Time" are album tracks from Blue Moon and Fairyland, respectively. While Remixed may not convert many people into fans of De/Vision's brooding electronic pop, those already converted will most likely enjoy this twist on the band's sound.
