Album Review

One of Spain's leading jazz vocalists, Sole Giménez shows off her strong, clear voice, elegant phrasing, and graceful interaction with her accompanists on this, her third solo album. On Dos Gardenias, Giménez interprets the songs of Latin American composers, and brings a beauty and easy charm to each selection, with a fine band lending tasteful support. Selections include "Vivir Sin Aire," "El Manisero," "Somos," "Gracias a la Vida," "A Dios le Pido," and seven more.
