While vocalist Rick "Cookin'" Sherry doesn't have the strongest of voices (often slipping into a rather monotonous vocal pattern), but his band does create a great roots feel. The slap back bass and ragged slide bring tunes like "I'm a Steady Rollin Man" and "Before They Get Me Down" to life.
