Every time you multitask with many apps open, you need all the windows arranged accordingly. Magnet makes this process swift and easy.
In one drag to the edge of your display, you size any app into half of the screen. And by dragging its windows to corners, you snap them into quarters. Sliding on the bottom edge creates thirds, or even sixths on ultra-wide monitors. Taking advantage of such arrangements eliminates app switching and greatly enhances workspace efficiency.
All commands can be triggered via keyboard shortcuts as well. You can find a predefined set of hotkeys under the menu bar icon, or create ones that fit your habits.

Fixes macOS on desktop use
macOS is well designed OS for use with touchpads and gestures, but it seriously struggles when you are trying to manage windows on it in regular desktop mode… Windows has waaaaaay better window management (lol), and to certain extent this app improves user experience with Mac quite significantly. Shame on Apple for still not having this option natively in the system, but at least third party addons such as this one work well.
Sometimes it doesn’t snap to the top as well as other corners, and some apps have limited window scaling options, but for it’s price Magnet really improved the macOS in a big way.
Great APP but after restart it does not launch automatically
I have only one complain that after restart the magnet APP does not relaunch automatically even if the relevant option is allowed in APP settings. I This has been working on my previous MAC with Intel processor but with M1 PRO processor after reboot I always need to launch the app manually. Please, have a look at it. Thanks!
Very useful, easier transition from Windows
Using a large main screen and a small secondary, I often need to orginize windows, move them from one screen to another or put a couple of them side by side. Having both my hands on the keyboard most of the time, I like to be able to do things I do often without reaching for the mouse.
