Every time you move a content from one app to the other, compare data side by side or multitask in any other way, you need all the windows arranged accordingly. Magnet makes this process clean and simple.
In one drag to the edge, you size a window into half of your screen. And by dragging windows to the corners, you snap them into quarters. Slide them to the bottom edge of your display to create thirds. Do the same on your ultra-wide monitor and arrange windows into sixths. Taking advantage of such arrangements eliminates app switching and greatly enhances workspace efficiency.
Magnet supports keyboard shortcuts as well, for every command it has to offer. There is that little icon sitting in the Menu Bar where you can find a predefined set or create yours.

Fixes macOS on desktop use
macOS is well designed OS for use with touchpads and gestures, but it seriously struggles when you are trying to manage windows on it in regular desktop mode… Windows has waaaaaay better window management (lol), and to certain extent this app improves user experience with Mac quite significantly. Shame on Apple for still not having this option natively in the system, but at least third party addons such as this one work well.
Sometimes it doesn’t snap to the top as well as other corners, and some apps have limited window scaling options, but for it’s price Magnet really improved the macOS in a big way.
Came over from HyperDock
Very well done author!
I really like the simplicty of the app and all its features except a missing one - which I used pretty often with HyperDock.
When you scroll up with the mouse cursor over the window title bar - it maximizes the window size. Any chance of implemeting such functionality in Magnet, too?
Thanks for consideration!
This really only misses one thing...
And that is positioning windows between monitors. Sure, we have a shortcut "Next display" but how natural would it be to just use ctrl+alt+arrow to throw the window on next monitor... Other than that, Magnet is a must have if you use more windows alongside. And it costs fricking nothing for what it's worth!
