Every time you move a content from one app to the other, compare data side by side or multitask in any other way, you need all the windows arranged accordingly. Magnet makes this process clean and simple.
In one drag to the edge, you size a window into half of your screen. And by dragging windows to the corners, you snap them into quarters. Slide them to the bottom edge of your display to create thirds. Taking advantage of such arrangements eliminates app switching and greatly enhances workspace efficiency.
Magnet supports keyboard shortcuts as well, for every command it has to offer. There is that little icon sitting in the Menu Bar where you can find a predefined set or create yours.

This app does what it says, but would be please possible to add option to modify behaviour of green (maximize) window button with hover which will show and act similar as the menubar icon? I’m fine with keyboard shortcuts or using menubar icon, but my GF is using mouse for almost everything regarding UI and it’s more natural for her to use that green button. Thanks.
Perhaps the only thing I liked about Windows was it’s management of windows’ location via keyboard shortcuts and finally Magnet adds this feature to OSX. The app works flawlessly and is easy to use! The workflow is seamless and if you are hesitating, just dont! well done:)
I used to be a windows users (and I would say poweruser), then I switched to mac. I found the magnet after several years on mac and it totally gave me what I have been missing all those years. Love it, gj guys!
