In a fashion befitting their future emo-star status, the Cab vocalist Alex DeLeon and bassist Cash Cooligan converged over their mutual romantic interest in a girl circa 2005. Soon, songs began emerging, and the duo added dummer Alex Johnson, guitarist Ian Crawford, and most crucially, Alex Marshall on piano. By 2007, Panic At The Disco’s Spencer Smith had heard the band’s demos and helped them procure a deal with Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance records. In 2008, their debut, WHISPER WAR, garnered immediate attention in publications like ALTERNATIVE PRESS, which led to coveted slots on popular emo tours like Bamboozle, alongside peers such as We The Kings and Cobra Starship.
