About Rain Perry

California native Rain Perry has built an impressive career not only as a singer/songwriter, but as a theater and film actor. Known for her thoughtful, often autobiographical D.I.Y. folk-rock style, Perry has had songs covered by Nanci Griffith and Tom Russell and has collaborated with a range of artists including Victoria Williams and Chuck Prophet. Her 2008 release, Cinderblock Bookshelves, was developed into a successful one-woman play and she even wrote the theme song to the television drama Life Unexpected. After directing the 2016 music documentary The Shopkeeper, Perry released two more albums including 2022's socially conscious A White Album.
