Finishing second in Britain’s premier talent show did nothing to dint the popularity of Essex nice-guy Murs, and this is a slick blend of his versatile abilities. At once chirpy (the doo-woppy “Thinking Of Me”), emotional (his soulful rock turn on “Heart On My Sleeve”) and tenacious (the joyfully retro “Please Don’t Let Me Go”), his star power is clear.
