Kiss: Influences

Kiss: Influences

Kiss were born when glam-rock hooks crossed with heavy-metal thunder. Their pounding “Rock and Roll All Nite” is the offspring of Led Zeppelin's titanic crunch and boogie (“Rock and Roll”) and the New York Dolls' trashy, lipsticked flamboyance (“Looking For a Kiss”), and when they turn up the theatrics—hear “God of Thunder”—it reveals their love for Alice Cooper's shock-rock productions (“School's Out”).
