Album Review

After signing to Interscope, Imagine Dragons hustled off to Hollywood's Westlake studios to record with Rihanna/Eminem producer Alex Da Kid. The Vegas-based alternative pop group’s first EP on a major label sounds expectedly huge, switching between tricked-out electronic beats and anthemic chamber pop. The six songs are sweet and uplifting, led by the strong voice of Dan Reynolds, and highlighted by the inspirational Coldplay-indebted “Demons,” the safe Afro-pop fusion of “On top of the World,” and the bittersweet, irrepressible melody of “It’s Time.”

Genialt album!

Simpelthen fantastisk!

A Grammy Award-winning alt-rock outfit with a knack for crafting stylish, stadium-ready anthems as emotionally charged as they are radio-friendly, Las Vegas-based Imagine Dragons had their genesis in Provo, Utah, where vocalist Dan Reynolds met drummer Andrew Tolman while the two attended Brigham Young University. In 2009, the group, which by this time included guitarist Daniel Wayne Sermon, bass player Ben McKee, and Tolman's wife Brittany Tolman on keys and backing vocals, had made a name for itself...
