About Christopher Tin

Christopher Tin is a composer from California best known for his video game scores and his Grammy-winning classical crossover album Calling All Dawns, and other long-form works for voices and orchestra. Tin attended Stanford University where he studied music composition, and London's Royal College of Music. Returning to the States, he relocated to Los Angeles and began working in the film and television industry, He composed some music for the X-Men 2 soundtrack in 2003, but found his first significant success with the theme song "Baba Yetu" for the 2005 video game Civilization IV. Understandably, his music has a cinematic feel to it, both in its emotion and scoring. His fourth album, The Lost Birds, featuring Voces8 and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, was released in 2022.
