Fusing traditional bluegrass chops with an indie rock mindset, guitarist Jim Krewson and mandolin player Jennie Bedford released their first album, JIM AND JENNIE AND THE PINE BARONS, in 1999. Slightly changing the name of their band to Jim & Jennie & the Pinetops, the duo (plus bassist Brendan Skwire and banjoist Brad Hutchinson) followed their debut with 2000's LITTLE BIRDIE and 2002's ONE MORE IN THE CABIN before signing with the like-minded alt-country indie Bloodshot Records for 2005's RIVERS ROLL ON BY.
