Kitty, Daisy & Lewis

About Kitty, Daisy & Lewis

Born after many of their musical influences were long in the ground, the Durham siblings began playing their anachronistic blend of rockabilly, jump jazz, and country blues in the mid-2000s, before youngest sister, singer/percussionist Kitty, had even reached her teens. While they come from a musical family -- their father was a producer; their mother played drums for seminal punkers, the Raincoats -- there's a sincerity in the recordings far beyond their years or pedigree. Their live shows featuring Kitty and Daisy wailing and/or perched over a primitive drum set while pompadoured Lewis stoically strummed guitar, earned the band a cult following by the end of the decade.
