About Pampers

Playing noisy, art-damaged punk rock with garage-rock hooks and an impressive amount of both smarts and snot, self-described "thug pop" band Pampers are a four-piece act from Brooklyn, New York featuring Carl Cirone on guitar, keyboards, and vocals, John Kramer on guitar, Jordan Lovelace (ex-Black Centipede) on bass and vocals, and Peter Buxton on drums. Pampers released their first single, "Eruptions" b/w "Samantha" and "Monkey Drip," on their own Jack Shack Records in July 2011; the record soon sold out its initial pressing, and the band began earning positive notices on the Brooklyn scene for their manic live shows, fierce music, and outsized showmanship. A second 7", "Guts" b/w "Rat Hole" and "Lies," was issued by Jack Shack in May 2012. As word about Pampers spread, they struck a deal with In the Red Records to release their first full-length album. Simply called Pampers and produced by Ben Greenberg of fellow Brooklynites the Men, the album appeared in October 2013, to coincide with a U.S. tour. ~ Mark Deming
