About Richard Barone
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Attending a Donovan concert at age 11 made me a lifelong fan -- not only of Donovan but of acoustic, folk styles in general. As much as The Beatles, T.Rex, and the Velvet Underground influenced me, so did folk music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nico, The Velvet Underground, The Velvet Underground & Nico 45th Anniversary (Deluxe Edition) T. Rex, Electric Warrior 2007 Remaster The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) A true music fan cannot pick only three albums as favorites, but these three masterpieces strike me as timeless and eternally influential. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Numbers With Wings” "Numbers with Wings" is a song that appeared to me like magic. It arrived at just the right time, as The Bongos were just about the sign with RCA Records, and gave us our first college radio hit. The meaning seems to evolve and change with me.
