Reseña de álbum

Lounge lizard Louie Austen was singin' and swingin' on stages from Vienna to New York way back in the '60s, but his first long-player in 25 years is also his first foray into the world of dance music. And judging by the surprisingly successful (and surprisingly sleazy) Only Tonight, Austen's musical career seems primed to take off — again. Much credit goes to knob-noodlers Mario Neugebauer and Patrick Pulsinger, who rework Austen's potentially hokey-jokey hotel bar crooning into some horny, hot-to-trot dancefloor fodder. Perhaps more shocking that his dirty mind, however, is that Only Tonight's Love Boat-meets-Lovage sex soundtrack doesn't sound at all like the novelty that it could, and probably should, be.

A chance meeting in the late '90s with an experimental producer led to a collaboration that combined his Dean Martin-esque vocals with modern...
